The second annual Book Festival kicks off this month with a series of panels and performances all centered around Heroic Living: Discover Your Purpose and Change the World by Chris Lowney.

What are YOU going to do with your major? This presentation and conversation with inspirational faculty aims to help students make connections about how their academic discipline can lend itself to living a life of purpose that can change the world.
Heroes of the Arts: Uplifting Human Spirit
St. Robert’s Auditorium Wed., Sept. 28, 5:00 p.m.
Come see a creative arts showcase featuring the arts and their heroic role in society as a means of expressing human drama, thoughts and ideas through powerful, creative, educational and entertaining mediums. After the artist presentations there will be a live music and dance performance, followed by Q & A. Featuring: Dr. Ron Marasco, Award Winning Actor and LMU Professor of Theatre Arts, Lauren Froderman, LMU Student, So You think You Can Dance, Winner of Season 7, and Kent Jenkins, LMU Student, Rimba Tubes Drummer featured on America’s Got Talent and Winner of the LMU Talent Show.

Author Chris Lowney, a onetime Jesuit seminarian who later guided corporations such as J.P. Morgan & Co, will speak about the leadership principles that have guided the Jesuits for 450 years: self-awareness, ingenuity, love, and heroism.
