Held in the Von der Ahe Room on the third floor of the library, Game Night will be open for anyone to drop in and experience their favorite console games on the library's 103" monitor. If console games aren't your thing, we'll provide a selection of board games, or you can bring your own. We'll even provide soda and munchies. Best of all, this event is completely FREE!
Why would a university library want to host a Game Night? First of all, the library is a place to exercise all the different parts of your brain, not just the academic one. You can already check out movies and bestselling popular reading, why not play some games as well? Second, playing games is actually an excellent way to learn. Gaming encourages you to develop strategies, predict possible outcomes, manage multiple resources, and adapt to changing situations. Not only that, but it's a great way to build social skills and meet new people. So, stop by the library this Tuesday at 7:00pm, and let the games begin!
